Financial Times: „Orbán Viktor a béka segge alá kerülhet!"

Egy kiszivárgott brüsszeli terv alapján az uniós tagállamok vezetői célzottan szabotálnák a magyar gazdaságot, amennyiben Orbán Viktor magyar miniszterelnök megvétózza az Ukrajnának szánt segélycsomagot.
A források visszatartásával elbizonytalanítanák a pénzügyi befektetőket, ami hosszú távon a forint gyengülését idézné elő.
A magyar kormány szerint továbbra sem engednek a politikai nyomásgyakorlásnak.
Egy kiszivárgott uniós dokumentum szerint Brüsszelben felvázoltak egy olyan stratégiát, amelyben kifejezetten Magyarország gazdasági gyengeségeit vennék célba, amennyiben Orbán Viktor megvétózná az Ukrajnának szánt segélycsomagot – számolt be róla a Financial Times.
A brit lap úgy tudja, hogy Brüsszel egy bizalmas tervet dolgozott ki, amelyben lényegében szabotálnák a magyar gazdaságot, előidézve a befektetői bizalom összeomlását, a forintos deviza meghátrálását és a hitelfelvételi költségek megugrását.
Az uniós tisztviselők szerint, ha a február 1-jei csúcstalálkozón nem születik megállapodás Ukrajna támogatásáról, úgy a tagállamok vezetői nyilvánosan is megfogadnák, hogy végleg leállítják a Budapestnek szánt uniós támogatásokat.
A források nélkül „a pénzügyi piacok, valamint az európai és nemzetközi vállalatok kevésbé lennének érdekeltek abban, hogy Magyarországon fektessenek be”.
Egy ilyen büntetés „gyorsan kiválthatja az államháztartási hiány finanszírozási költségeinek további növekedését és a valuta csökkenését”
– hangsúlyozták a dokumentumban.
Bóka János, Magyarország uniós ügyekért felelős minisztere a Financial Times kérdésére elmondta, hogy nem tudnak pénzügyi fenyegetésről, de országa „nem enged a nyomásnak”.
A politikus hozzátette, hogy kompromisszumos megoldásként szombaton egy új javaslatot küldtek Brüsszelnek.
Leszögezték, hogy
„nyitottak arra, hogy az uniós költségvetést Ukrajna támogatására felhasználják, sőt, akár egy közös adósságot is kibocsáthat annak finanszírozására, ha más kikötésekkel egészítik ki, amelyek lehetőséget adnak Budapestnek arra, hogy később meggondolja magát.″
A cikkben felidézték, hogy az Európai Unió már korábban is élt a pénzügyi nyomásgyakorlás eszközével.
Példaként említették Magyarország és Lengyelország esetét a jogállamisági viták kérdésében.
A Politico szerint Brüsszel azzal is fenyegeti Magyarországot, hogy kizárja az uniós szavazási folyamatból, ha szabotálja „a költségvetésről és az Ukrajnának szánt 50 milliárd euróról szóló” megállapodást a február 1-jei csúcstalálkozón.
Az egyik uniós tisztviselő egy magyar mondást kölcsönözve úgy fogalmazott, ha az EU élne az úgynevezett 7. cikkelyben foglaltakkal – ami a legsúlyosabb politikai szankció egy tagországgal szemben, és az uniós döntésekről való szavazati jog felfüggesztésével jár –, így a lap szerint „Orbán Viktor a béka segge alá kerülne!"
