Azt mondják, hogy a korgó gyomornál, az összetört szívnél és az üres pénztárcánál nincs nagyobb tanítómester.
Egész egyszerűen az életünk legszebb pillanatai nem azért vannak, hogy tanítsanak bennünket.
A kellemes, jó élményeink általában jutalomnak tudhatók be, az elvégzett munka gyümölcsének, a megtett út eredményének, a megvívott csata zsákmányának. Imádom ezeket a nyugalmi időszakokat az életemben, amikor gondtalanul átadhatom magam a pihenésnek, a szórakozásnak, vagy csak egyszerűen boldogan élhetem meg úgy a pillanatot, ahogy van, mindenféle fejtörés, cselszövés vagy felesleges kombinálás nélkül. Viszont bármennyire élvezem is a kényelmes, pont tökéletes hőmérsékletű állóvizet, de fejlődni ott egy cseppet sem fogok. Így aztán boldogan használom ki az életem nyugalmi állapotát, majd ha megpihentem, készségesen fogadom a viharral érkező új kihívást. Gyakran előfordul velünk, hogy az életünk kihívásaira egyfajta sorscsapásként tekintünk, amikor meg kell élnünk a kialakult helyzetet.
Azt gondolom, hogy ezzel a hozzáállással viszont csak önmagunkat gyengítjük, hiszen amellett, hogy így is, úgy is meg kell vívnunk a saját csatáinkat még egy olyan lelki spirálba is belehúzzuk magunkat, ahol a fókuszban az önsajnálat áll. Mennyivel könnyebb azzal a biztos tudattal beleállni egy nehéz helyzetbe, hogy tudjuk, ez csak egy próba, vagy egy olyan esemény, ami okkal, a saját fejlődésünk érdekében történik. S mennyivel nehezebb úgy végigcsinálni ezt az egészet, hogy közben az egész világra haragszunk a saját szenvedésünkért. Az életünk viharai nem elkerülhetőek.
Ne kívánjunk magunknak állandó napsütést, mert egy idő után, amikor már minden kopár lenne körülöttünk a víz hiányában, mi magunk keresnénk, kérnénk, s vágyakozva sóvárognánk a kalandokat, izgalmakat és nem utolsó sorban fejlődést hozó vihart. Tudom, hogy néha nehéz ott állni a tomboló szélben, a szakadó esőben, hogy a villámok félelmetesek lehetnek, a lépteink pedig egyre erőltetettebbé válnak, ahogy az átázott ruhánk szinte páncélként nehezedik ránk, mégis vigasztalhat bennünket, s erőt adhat számunkra az a tudat, hogy az az eső, ami most kegyetlenül kopogtatja a hátunkat, holnap majd termővé teszi a földünket.
