Európai Bizottság elnöke: Magyarország nélkül is elfogadhatják az Ukrajnának nyújtott segélyt
Az Európai Bizottság felkészült arra, hogy Magyarország nélkül segítse Ukrajnát a jövőben, ha Orbán Viktor tovább blokkolja az egyezséget az ügyről - mondta Ursula von der Leyen bizottsági elnök az Euronewsnak Davosban.
A politikus hozzátette, ő személy szerint azt szeretné, ha Magyarországgal együtt döntene a 27 tagállam a segítség folyósításáról. Orbán Viktor decemberben megvétózta azt, hogy az EU négy év alatt 50 milliárd euróval támogassa Ukrajnát.
"Szerintem nagyon fontos az, hogy mind a 27 tagállam részt vegyen ebben, és Ukrajna megkapja a négy év alatt az 50 milliárd eurót. Jelenleg ebben a fázisban vagyunk. Most a rendkívüli uniós csúcs felkészülési időszakában vagyunk, ami nehéz munka. Több különböző kérdésről tárgyaltunk már. Számomra nagyon fontos az, hogy 27 tagállam között legyen egyezség. Ha ez nem lehetséges, felkészültünk arra is, hogy 26 állammal legyen egyezség. De én erősen támogatom a 27-ek által meghozott döntést, én ezt részesítem előnyben"
- mondta von der Leyen.
Az Európai Bizottság vezetője arra nem tért ki, hogy Magyarország nélkül milyen formában jöhetne létre az Ukrajnának nyújtandó pénzügyi csomag.
Az eredeti tervek szerint ezt a hétéves uniós költségvetésből finanszírozták volna, Magyarország erre a javaslatra azonban nemet mondott a decemberi uniós csúcson.
A múlt heti kiszivárgott hírek szerint egyébként Magyarország immár konstruktív módon tárgyal, és a zárolt helyreállítási pénzek felhasználási határidejének kitolását kéri cserébe azért, hogy átengedje a csomagot.
Egy forrás pedig a múlt héten azt nyilatkozta a Financial Timesnak, hogy az Európai Bizottság hajlandó lenne engedményeket tenni Magyarországnak, például lehetőséget adnának arra, hogy két év múlva felülvizsgálják a döntést.
