Népszava: Újabb, Magyarországnak járó támogatásokat függeszthet fel az Európai Bizottság
A Népszava értesülése szerint újabb Magyarországnak járó támogatásokat függeszthet fel az Európai Bizottság (EB) a szuverenitásvédelmi törvény miatt.
A brüsszeli testület szerint a jogszabály aláássa a civil tér működését. az üggyel kapcsolatban az Index kérdéseket küldött a kormánynak.
A szuverenitásvédelmi törvénnyel kapcsolatban is alkalmazni fogja az Európai Bizottság (EB) a felzárkóztatási (kohéziós) támogatások odaítéléséhez kötött feltételrendszert – mondta a Népszava tudósítása szerint Didier Reynders igazságügyi biztos egy háttérbeszélgetésen.
A biztos kihangsúlyozta: több mint egy éve hasonló döntést hoztak az úgynevezett gyermekvédelmi törvény és más, az Európai Unió (EU) alapértékeit sértő magyarországi jogszabály miatt.
Ezekért jelenleg csaknem 2,4 milliárd eurót blokkolnak a hazánknak járó kohéziós forrásokból.
Mint írják, a mostani költségvetési ciklusban bevezetett feltételrendszer alapja, hogy a tagállamok csak akkor kaphatnak az EU fejlesztési támogatásaiból, ha a felhasználásuk alatt tiszteletben tartják a közösen elfogadott szabályokat és a közösség Alapjogi Chartájának az előírásait.
A szuverenitásvédelmi törvénnyel szemben indított kötelezettségszegési eljárásban az EB azt állapította meg, hogy sérti az EU demokratikus értékeit, és szembemegy az Alapjogi Chartájában foglalt alapvető jogokkal, többek között a magán- és családi élet tiszteletben tartásával, illetve a személyes adatok védelméhez való joggal.
A politikus elmondta: az EB a kötelezettségszegési eljárással párhuzamosan felfüggesztheti a felzárkóztatási pénzek egy részét is a jogszabály miatt.
A brüsszeli testület szerdán megjelent jogállamisági jelentése egyébként többször is kitért a szuverenitásvédelmi törvényre, amely szerintük aláássa a civil tér működését.
